Data protection declaration in accordance with the requirements of the European Data Protection Regulation (DS-GVO).

This data protection declaration informs users about the nature, scope and purpose of the collection and use of personal data by Akanthos Akademie (hereinafter referred to as the provider), Kasernenhof 14, 72074 Tübingen. The legal basis for data protection can be found in the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the Telemedia Act (TMG).

Personal data
Personal data is information that can be used to identify a person, i.e. information that can be traced back to a person. This includes, for example, the name, address data, email address or telephone number. Data on which web pages were viewed by someone also count as personal data.
Personal data is only collected, used and passed on by the provider if this is legally permitted, the user consents to the data collection or the data collection is necessary to provide a service requested by the user. The data required to provide the service was selected in accordance with the principle of data economy. By entering the data in the offer, the user agrees to the use of the data as described here.
The personal data entered in the offer are encrypted during transmission using a state-of-the-art procedure (Secure Sockets Layer - SSL).



When contacting the provider (for example via contact form or e-mail), the user's details are stored for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event that follow-up questions arise.


Access data/ Server log files
The provider (or his web space provider) collects data on every access to the offer (so-called server log files). The access data includes:

Name of the website accessed, file, date and time of access, amount of data transferred, notification of successful access, browser type and version, the user's operating system, referrer URL (the previously visited page), IP address and the requesting provider.

The provider uses the log data only for statistical evaluations for the purpose of the operation, security and optimisation of the offer. However, the provider reserves the right to check the log data retrospectively if there is a justified suspicion of unlawful use on the basis of concrete indications.

Web analysis
Anonymised access statistics are collected with the tool Matomo (formerly Piwik) used on our servers. You can object to the storage of your anonymously collected visitor data for the future at any time. To ensure this exclusion from data storage, a cookie is set in your browser.
Matamo's web statistics are also carried out using cookies that are stored on your computer. For this purpose, the usage information generated by the cookie is transferred to our server and stored for usage analysis purposes, which serves to optimise the website on our part.
Your browser data stored on our server via Matamo includes the following information:
- Internet browser type and version,
- the operating system used,
- the page accessed,
- the previously visited page (referrer URL),
- time of the server request.
Your IP address is immediately anonymised during this process, so that you as a user remain anonymous to us. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website will not be passed on to third parties.

Information, revocation, changes, corrections and updates
The user has the right, upon request and free of charge, to obtain information about the personal data stored about him or her. In addition, the user has the right to correct incorrect data, block and delete his personal data, provided that there is no legal obligation to retain such data.
